Tower choice clarified

Greg Patterson said the site of the former Woodshaven-Kruse School is the "best choice" for placement of a relay tower for the state's emergency radio system.

A chart posted on Delaforum indicating that the location was the state's third choice was misleading, he said. That chart was intended to summarize results of computer modeling undertaken early in the selection process.

The decisive consideration was field testing later in the process and that showed Woodshaven-Kruse will provide the best signal and the most geographic coverage, he said.
